About the Role

Essential Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Receive repair orders from advisor or dispatcher;

Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and factory standards;

Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform necessary repairs;

Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts;

Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer;

Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required;

Notify internal service advisor immediately if additional work outlined is not needed or required;

Notify internal service advisor immediately if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised;

Document work performed;

Roadtest vehicles when required;

Attend factorysponsored training classes as required;

Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins;

Ensure that customers cars are kept clean;

Keep shop area neat clean and be able to account for all dealershipowned tools at all times;

Know understand and follow all federal state and local regulations such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes and inspection of vehicles;

Must follow all company safety policies and procedures and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor;

Other duties as assigned by management.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required:

ASE Certification preferred;

Ability to maintain a positive attitude while working under pressure in a fastpaced environment;

Capability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively;

Ability to communicate orally and in writing with various levels of internal and external customers;

Have strong organizational skills and be extremely detail oriented;

Be selfmotivated and able to accomplish tasks with little supervision;

Have the ability to work individually and in a team environment;

Basic computer knowledge;

Must be comfortable sitting standing and/or walking for long periods of time;

Professional demeanor;

Must be able to meet companys employment requirements;

Qualifications

• 2 years of Service Technician experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent; ASE Certification required
• Strong skills in diagnostics electrical and engine repair
• Excellent mechanical and troubleshooting abilities
• Proficiency in electronic diagnostic tools and basic computer systems
• Friendly positive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement
• Team player with strong communication skills
• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
• Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment
