Job Description
The Product Manager for Batteries & ESS Storage area supports theintersection of three main componentsofa successfulProduct Strategy:defining and owning theproduct direction;building and growing aproduct team; and establishing the product organization and processes.
- This is a Hybrid position requiring 3 days/week in a UL Solutions office.
- Ideal candidate will reside on the West Coast
- Help establish and support theproduct vision for the Batteries & ESS Storage and Industrial eMobility segmentsin concert withdeepmarketunderstandingto informthe core and new product strategy.
- Develop services that align with our segments growth strategies
- Support and contributetothe gotomarket strategy for Batteries & ESS as well as Industrial eMobility productsdescribinghow value will be delivered to the customer/user how ULs products are differentiated from the competition and what the business modelshould be in a given market. This includes prioritization ofproductfunctions andfeaturesinto a product roadmap.
- Monitora set ofproductgoals outcomesand correspondingmetricsto continually evaluate against and drive future activities and strategies.
- Evangelizeand communicatethe product vision strategy and goals internally and externally is a critical responsibility of this role.
- Activelymodeland promotea set of desiredbehaviorsaligned withULscritical behaviors for success.
- Support an efficient crossfunctional matrix structure to enable effective product development lifecycle management
- Execute a robust set of processes to power all parts of the product development lifecycle from research/discovery to release/launch management and product support
- Leverage a standard set of product management tools with the product team to drive efficient and effective product lifecycle management
Qualifications
- University Degree (Equivalent to Bachelors degree) in Engineering Business or a related discipline.
- 5 years of technical or business experience inBatteries & ESSor a related industry field.
- 5years of related discipline experience or demonstrated competencyin Product Management.
- Battery Modeling experience is highly valued.
- Workingwith remote teams is of high importance.
- Ability toleadsmall to mediumgroups of internaland external stakeholderstowards desired outcomes in order to meet business objectives.
- Strong communication and presentation(PowerPoint)skills. Ability to conduct discovery sessions with clients prospects andstakeholders.
- Experience using Product management tools
- Project management certification and formal training and/or certification in Product Management are plusses

What we offer:
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimatedsalary range for this position is $130000. to $160000. and is based on multiple factors including jobrelated knowledge/skills experience geographical location as well as other position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 20 of the base salary.
This position also provides health benefits such as medical dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings 401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide fulltime employees with paid time off including vacation 15 days) holiday including floating holidays 12 days) and sick time off 72 hours).
