Job Title: Residential Building Surveyor
Location: Manchester and Northwest UK
Salary: From 45000 per annum
Job Type: Fulltime Permanent

Our client is an awardwinning SME committed to revolutionising the residential surveying industry. They have a strong pipeline of instructions across the Midlands and North of the UK servicing a diverse range of clients from the general public to commercial investors with large portfolios. Their dynamic and innovative consultancy operates out of offices in Sheffield Manchester and Birmingham.
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced MRICS or AssocRICS Residential Building Surveyor to join our clients team in Manchester. You will be responsible for inspecting and reporting on properties of various shapes sizes and ages contributing to their continued success and growth. This role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative environment and participate in regular team activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct RICS Level 2 & Level 3 home surveys snagging surveys and specific defect reports.
Inspect and report on residential properties providing detailed and accurate assessments.
Regularly travel to site inspections across the Midlands and North of the UK.
Collaborate with colleagues and clients maintaining professional relationships.
Utilise GoReport or other report writing software to produce comprehensive survey reports.
Maintain uptodate knowledge of building construction pathology and regulatory requirements.
Participate in team meetings and social activities to foster a positive work environment.
Requirements:
AssocRICS or MRICS qualification with a minimum of 12 years building surveying experience.
Proven experience in writing RICS Level 2 & Level 3 home surveys and specific defect reports.
Full clean driving licence with the ability to travel regularly for site inspections.
Strong knowledge of building construction and pathology with a keen awareness of performance and risk within a regulatory environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships with colleagues and clients.
Proficiency in Microsoft software; experience with AutoCAD is beneficial but not essential.
Understanding of GoReport or other report writing software.
