Position Summary
Reports to the Executive Director and is responsible for communicating strategic direction & implementation of a philanthropic communications & marketing plan for internal & external audiences of the University Advancement office. Create execute strategies & programs that articulate the Universitys fundraising priorities with messaging that reflects the culture values & achievements of the university community & celebrate the generosity & involvement of alumni & donors. Elevate & raise the visibility & profile of the dept. & forge partnerships across the institution between the Office of Communications and Marketing College Deans & other senior leadership. Focus to increase the Universitys share of voice in the philanthropic marketplace & work in shaping positioning branding & messaging to meet donor objectives.
Essential Functions
Excellent writing and reportorial skills Excellent strategic thinking skills. Expertise & experience with progressive use of digital and webrelated communications. This includes strong understanding of social networking plus emerging web technologies. Expert communication skills.
