Job Description
Job Title: Architect Modern Infrastructure
Job Location: Remote: Located within British Columbia or Alberta
The position reports to the Senior Manager Services Delivery and works 40 hours per week with typical business hours being 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday. Balancing multiple project priorities with deadlines is a requirement and there may be a requirement for afterhours work and or travel depending on project needs.

Compensation
The Modern Infrastructure Architect position is a full time salaried position and compensation is commensurate with skills experience and abilities with a suggested range between $100000.00 $150000.00Company Profile

Nature of the Work
The Modern Infrastructure Architect works in a collaborative method with peers and clients to design and deliver managed services and IT projects through all project phases including presales. The incumbent will be required to demonstrate a high level of proficiency in translating business requirements into technical solutions while communicating project needs constraints and successes.The position reports to the Senior Manager Service Delivery. The position works 40 hours per week with business hours being 8:00am to 5:00pm PST/MST Monday to Friday. Balancing multiple project priorities with deadlines is a requirement and there may be a requirement for afterhours work and or travel depending on project needs.
Technical Delivery
- Provide delivery expertise and direction to projects and other IT team members
- Deliver IT support project planning and technical delivery services to a broad range of clients Assist with and take the lead on projects from initial assessment through planning design and implementation
- Deploy and manage technology solutions built on Microsoft Azure
- Networking Cloud Network Infrastructure and OnPremises Connectivity
- Virtual Machines and Virtual Machine Management
- Backup and Recovery
- Disaster Recovery
- Logging and Monitoring
- Automation and Configuration Management
- Platform Services including App Services Application Gateway and others
- Kubernetes or other container technologies an asset
- Experience with scripting and infrastructure as code
- Strong knowledge of onpremises Microsoft and associated technologies
- Active Directory Exchange DHCP DNS Azure AD Connect SQL
- Implement virtualization solutions leveraging VMware and HyperV including the deployment and maintenance of server storage and backup solutions
- Project and ad hoc escalation support for Tier 3 type issues
Qualifications/Expertise
- 10 years relevant work experience
- Working knowledge of Azure Active Directory and synchronization mechanisms.
- VCP or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of technical fundamentals and delivery as it relates to project delivery
- Continuing education and training a must
Certifications:
- Administrator (AZ103/104 Microsoft Azure preferred
- Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty (AZ140 preferred
- Administrating Windows Server Hybrid Core Infrastructure/Hybrid Advances Services (AZ800801
- Azure Developer Associate (AZ204 preferred
- Azure DevOps Engineer (AZ400 preferred
- Azure Solutions Architect (AZ305 preferred
Accountabilities Tasks and Duties Client and Vendor Relationships
- Understand and interpret customer needs to provide excellent service levels
- Develop strong and lasting customer relationships with key clients
- Assist with the development of proposals and presales exercises including the presentation of technologies and solution proposals to clients and prospective clients
- Clearly and regularly communicate with Client Experience Team and Account Executives.
- Work with Project Managers and Managed Services Coordinators to prioritize and complete project managed services and operational services deliverables including all related documentation.
- Respond to technical escalations from Client Experience team and other Technical/SME teams within defined IXS SLOs.
- Complete regular Professional Development related to teams technical purview.
- Stay up to date with the latest technology trends vulnerabilities releases related to their teams technical purview.
- Pass certification exams and complete training as appropriate to demonstrate skillset to clients and foster strong vendor relationships
- Develop document and maintain processes and procedures sometimes with the help of an enabling team related to their project delivery & managed services within their teams technical purview.
- Maintain teamowned best practices and standards and communicates them to other teams.
- Generally expected to be alwaysoncall for escalations.
- Participate in trade shows and other business development exercises

Requirements
- Must be able to work in Canada
- Hold a valid Drivers License and vehicle
