Job Description

Primary Purpose
The Parttime Instructor provides instruction to students in Engineering classes directs student discussion and evaluates student performance in the classroom.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Teaching assignments may be during the day (including early morning) evening or weekend and could include classes taught at any of the College campuses online or remotely. Provide instruction in lower division Engineering courses (Course Outlines: ENGR 211 Statics ; ENGR 202 Electrical Fundamentals using approved course outcome guides. Teaching assignments may be during the day (including early morning) evening or weekend and could include classes taught at any of the College campuses online or remotely. Hold at least one scheduled office hour per class per week for student help sessions and program assistance. Utilize College tools and resources including the Learning Management System and Disability Services software to support teaching activities as appropriate. Participate in course assessment. Perform other essential job functions as assigned that support the overall objective of the position.

Minimum Requirements
Masters degree in Engineering or closely related field. One year of successful College teaching experience in the subject area or evidence for the potential for excellence in teaching.

Preferred Qualifications
Teaching experience relevant to lower division college Engineering courses.
