Position: Solution Engineer
In this role the Solution Engineer is responsible for assisting customers in thepreparation planning design configuration validation and deployment of the HancockCloud energy efficiency retrofit software product suite. This position will have interactionwith Technical Support Product Management Engineering and the Executive team tocoordinate resolution of customer deliverables. This is a hands on position requiringsoftware configuration to meet customer business requirements. Existing knowledge ofenergy efficiency retrofits and utility efficiency programs is a plus.
Primary Responsibilities
- Act as the primary implementation resource during the overallimplementation/onboarding phase of the client lifecycle
- Clearly define identify and document business and technical needs andobjectives
- Create user documentation instructions and procedures
- Assist with training on the administration and use of the solution
- Participate in project calls with customers and act as a subject matter expert onCompany solutions
- Coordinate and track tasks assigned to both internal and external project teammembers
- Execute a variety of project tasks such as procedures scripting data importsconfiguration testing and knowledge transfer
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications for reportdevelopment or product enhancements
- Work across time zones with nationwide clients and with global team membersacross the U.S. India and China
- Build strong relationships with customers to facilitate requirements gathering andvalidation
- Instrumental in the development of solution engineering guidelines while offeringideas for process improvement
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
- Offered salary is for candidates meeting minimum qualifications. Salary is flexibleand commensurate with experience.
Required Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver software implementation projects frompresales to final delivery preferably in this or related industry
- Ability to accurately track multiple detailintensive interdependent tasks withtimely completion
- 25 years JavaScripting and web design experience including implementationexperience working for a software company
- Most or all of the following skills: web developer JavaScript PascalScript MS SQL Script Azure designer Postman SMS Embarcadero Rad Studio Delphi RESTful API development basic SQL debugging and business intelligence
- General knowledge of database structure that allows for quick understanding ofdata migration tools and processes
- Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies
- Commitment to work well with clients build successful customer relationshipsand ensure satisfaction
- Experience working in the energy efficiency retrofit and/or construction industryespecially utility demand side management space is a plus
- Selfmotivated and proven productive working with a virtual team
- Successful achievement of project success criteria and business outcomes
