Cornerstone at Canton isseeking a patient innovative programmer who is creative friendly compassionate and organized. This person will be creating scheduling and implementing therapeutic programs for our a small cohort of Assisted Living residents who are experiencing and adjusting to living with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI). - Develop a balanced daily therapeutic programming schedule for 7 days per week;
- Implement and evaluate programs based on residents individual needs;
- Coordinate and book entertainment including guest lecturers musicians and fitness instructors;
- Assist with outings for residents and drive the van when necessary
REQUIREMENTS: - Experience: Associates or Bachelors degree in Therapeutic Recreation Education Social Work or related field preferred. Must have 1 years experience working with elderly and/or Alzheimers populations.
- Physical requirements: Standing sitting bending and transferring residents (with and without assistance)
- Communication: An ability to communicate effectively with residents and coworkers
- License requirements: Valid drivers license and clean driving record; Must be able to be insured insured by community auto insurance 26 years of age)
