Job Description
Cypress College is accepting applications for Parttime Communication Studies Instructor positions. The purpose of this posting is to create a pool of qualified applicants to fill parttime assignments on an asneeded basis. When the need to fill arises the department will refer to this pool of parttime faculty.

Desirable Qualifications
Recent lower division or community college teaching experience. Demonstrated ability to develop a variety of effective teaching techniques and assessment methods. Ability to engage student interest to support a variety of learning styles. Ability to promote the use of instructional technology in curriculum delivery. Effective oral and written communication skills. Experience with teaching and mentoring historically and socially minoritized/marginalized communities such as AfricanAmerican/Black Chicanx/Latinx Pacific Islander Native American women LGBTQIA and people with disabilities.
Minimum Qualifications
Masters in speech speech broadcasting telecommunications rhetoric communication communication studies speech communication or organizational communication OR Bachelors in any of the above AND Masters in drama/ theater arts mass communication or English OR Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area OR the equivalent. Equivalent qualifications may include related education training employment and professional experience that would be equal to the required degree(s) and experience in this field as determined by the District Equivalency Committee.
