Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive audits for various clients ensuring compliance with applicable financial regulations and standards.
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Utilize software such as CaseWare Sage Pastel and Xero for efficient audit procedures.
- Train and mentor junior staff fostering their professional development and enhancing team capabilities.
- Identify areas for process improvement and assist clients in implementing best practices.
- Prepare and present detailed audit findings and reports to clients and management.
- Maintain uptodate knowledge of changes in legislation and best practices within the auditing profession.
- Manage auditing projects from conception to completion while ensuring deadlines are met.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) degree in Accounting or equivalent.
- Registered with SAICA (South African Institute of Chartered Accountants) as a professional accountant.
- Proven experience in audit roles with a minimum of 5 years in a similar position.
- Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and relevant audit tools and techniques.
- Proficiency in CaseWare Sage Pastel Xero and other relevant accounting software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present findings clearly and effectively.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail demonstrating a commitment to accuracy.
- Access to own transportation is required.
- Ability and willingness to train and support junior staff members.
