Job Description
The Core/Prosthesis Supply Supervisor is responsible for assisting with the operation of the surgical cores instrument rooms and operating room the prosthesis and supply areas. Coordinates and performs daily activities that support the surgical practice. Provides supervision
of staff assigned to the cores and/or the supply and prosthesis areas maintenance of inventory instrumentation implant management and maintenance and updating of the surgical inventory management system.
Qualifications
High School Graduate. Minimum of one year of experience in operating room or surgical instrument processing/inventory management setting.
Certified Surgical Technologist required with 2 years of sterile processing experience . Excellent communication organizational and task management skills. Previous supervisory experience preferred and recent operating room experience preferred. Knowledge of quality assurance inventory control and continuous improvement concepts is preferred. Sterilization certification through IAHCSMM OR CBSPD preferred; alternatively must acquire within 24 months of start date.
