Position Summary:

The Business Development Manageris responsible for driving sales of integrated security solutions to commercial industrial higher education and municipal clients. This role involves identifying potential customers understanding their security needs and delivering tailored solutions that align with their goals and objectives. The Business Development Manager will manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting and solution development to presenting proposals closing deals and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for selling integrated security and related low voltage technology solutions to building owners general contractors electrical contractors engineers architects and consultants.
  • Builds and manages longterm customer relationships with key building owners general contractors and architectural and engineering firms. Owns and facilitates customer relationships.
  • With assistance develops and implements a sales plan. Prospects qualifies and grows opportunity pipeline. Responsible for sales growth and achieving sales targets.
  • Demonstrates technical knowledge to create solutions that address the customers needs and favorably positions Climatec Security.
  • Influences design and construction decisions with owners contractors and consultants. Generates competitive highquality and timely estimates bids proposals and costbenefit analyses. Skillfully writes presents and communicates bids and proposals. Negotiates and closes sales successfully.
  • Utilizes sales tools effectively. Manages the pipeline in Climatec tools focusing on next steps action items and milestones in the sales process.
  • Works within the team as an individual contributor to ensure project success and customer satisfaction. Collaborates with product partners subcontractors engineers project managers and support colleagues.
  • Communicates the project vision sales strategy and plan to win. Engages engineers in customer meetings to review specific technologies and works closely on specifications throughout the solution development phase.

Skills & Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma.
  • 5 years of sales experience including 3 years of sales in the integrated security systems industry.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry and understanding of the construction process and ownerdirect negotiated process are essential.
  • Strong initiative and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong proposal development and writing skills.
  • Track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals with yearly bookings in excess of 2MM
  • Proven experience managing the development of complex project solutions estimates and proposals.
  • Familiarity with major access control video and security solutions including Lenel Genetec Software House Milestone and Avigilon.
  • Successful experience selling traditional plan & spec bid and designbuild projects to contractors and direct to owners.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of enterprise network architecture and the ability to discuss and recommend networked security system solutions.
  • Experience with network and telecom system applications Emergency DAS AV and related low voltage systems.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Be able to lift and carry ladders drawings personal computers material etc.
  • Be able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Be able to spend significant time standing and walking on construction sites.
  • Be able to climb several flights of stairs or ladders throughout a typical day on a construction site.
  • Maintain a satisfactory driving record which per Climatecs vehicle policy allows the individual to drive on company business.
  • Be physically able to kneel stoop and crawl.
