NFA Life Secure Pvt Ltd India is seeking a motivated Fire Safety Technician to join their team in Chennai. This is a fulltime position at the fresher level ideally suited for candidates with 0 to 1 year of work experience. The role focuses on ensuring fire safety across sites involving responsibilities that require a sharp eye for detail and a dedication to maintaining high safety standards.
Qualifications and Skills
- Excellent knowledge of different types of fires their causes and prevention techniques to ensure safety and compliance in various environments.
- Strong understanding of fire extinguisher types their specific uses and the ability to provide guidance on the appropriate type for each situation.
- Demonstrated ability to assess fire situations quickly and make informed decisions to mitigate risk effectively in emergency scenarios.
- Proficiency in the proper handling and operation of various types of fire extinguishers ensuring optimal performance during incidents.
- Indepth knowledge of fire safety protocols and regulations enabling implementation of best practices across different sites.
- Physical strength and stamina necessary for conducting site surveys and managing equipment during installation and maintenance activities.
- Capability to conduct thorough site surveys assessing potential fire risks and recommending preventive measures for enhanced safety.
- Experience in managing purchase processes and maintaining stock levels to ensure readiness and availability of safety equipment.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of fire safety equipment to ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations.
- Identify and assess potential fire risks and collaborate with teams to implement effective safety measures and protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections equipment status and safety measures for compliance and audit purposes.
- Purchasing the materials from the stores by coordinating with purchase department.
- Maintain the stores stocks and materials as a report.
- Assist in conducting fire drills and training sessions to educate staff on evacuation procedures and safety practices.
- Provide recommendations for the installation of new safety systems and equipment upgrades to enhance protection measures.
- Support teams with safety audits and contribute to the development of a robust safety culture within the organization.
