Job Description
Location: East London
Summary:
Our client seeking a talented and experienced Civil/Structural Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge and expertise in designing analyzing and evaluating structures such as buildings bridges and other infrastructure projects. The candidate should be proficient in using computeraided design (CAD) software and have excellent problemsolving skills to ensure the safety and stability of structures.
Responsibilities:
Design analyze and evaluate structures to ensure they meet safety and building code regulations
Collaborate with architects construction teams and other stakeholders to develop structural designs that meet project requirements
Prepare detailed drawings specifications and reports for construction projects
Conduct site visits and inspections to assess the condition of existing structures and recommend repair or reinforcement measures
Stay current on industry trends and developments to incorporate new technologies and best practices into projects
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Masters degree preferred
PrEng/PrTech required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering
Must be able to speak isiXhosa fluently
Must be willing to engage in business development
Must be willing to relocate to East London
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team
