Project Accountant
Location: Tulsa
Job Type: Full Time
Are you detailoriented organized and driven by project success Were looking for a Project Accountant to join our clients team and play a key role in tracking the financial performance of projects from start to finish. Youll collaborate closely with project managers ensure billing accuracy monitor variances and help streamline the flow of critical financial information.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and maintain projects cost codes and cost estimates within the accounting system
Approve the transfer of expenses in and out of project accounts
Review and approve supplier invoices related to projects
Generate and distribute all projectrelated billing and required customer documentation
Work with Project Managers to investigate and resolve unpaid contract billings
Perform monthly reconciliation of project billings revenue costs and WIP to the general ledger
Analyze and report on project WIP billings and profitability to management each month
Close out projects upon completion and final billing
Perform monthly GL account reconciliations as assigned
Complete assigned monthend and yearend closing activities on schedule
Assist with internal and external audits as required
Handle additional adhoc tasks assigned by the Controller
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field preferred or equivalent experience
Proven experience in project accounting or a similar role
Strong understanding of financial principles and projectbased accounting
Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Detailoriented with strong problemsolving abilities
