Job Description
Position:Part Time Bartender & Server
Location:Western Hills Country Club Mt. Vernon Indiana
About Western Hills Country Club:
Western Hills Country Club is a distinguished private club in Mt. Vernon Indiana celebrated for its challenging golf course Olympicsized swimming pool and tennis/pickleball facilities. Our fully stocked restaurant and bar complement a robust calendar of events and a strong membership base of around 300. We are dedicated to delivering exceptional service and quality experiences for our members and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and Serve Drinks: Mix and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages according to recipes and customer preferences.
- Customer Service:Engage with patrons take drink orders and provide recommendations.
- Maintain Cleanliness:Keep the bar area clean and organized including washing glassware and utensils.
- Stock Management:Monitor and replenish liquor mixers and garnishes.
- Handle Transactions: Process payments including handling cash and operating a cash register or pointofsale system.
- Ensure Safety: Check IDs to verify legal drinking age and refuse service to intoxicated individuals.
- Take Orders: Greet customers take food and drink orders and relay them to the kitchen or bar.
- Serve Food and Drinks: Deliver orders to the correct table in a timely manner.
- Customer Interaction: Address customer needs and concerns provide menu recommendations and ensure a pleasant dining experience.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Keep dining areas clean and organized including clearing and setting tables.
- Handle Transactions: Process payments including handling cash and operating a cash register or pointofsale system.
- Coordinate with Kitchen Staff: Communicate special requests dietary restrictions or order modifications to the kitchen. Both roles require strong communication skills attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Experience/Licensing Required:
- Must be age 21
- Minimum of 2 years experience preferred
- Flexible schedule preferred
- Must either have a liquor license or be able to obtain one online before onboarding is completed
Compensation:
Hourly wage is negotiable based on experience.
