The Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at Mayo Clinic in Florida is seeking a CoDirector of the Molecular Pathology Laboratory to work in a large academic group practice ideal candidate will have experience in chromosome analysis FISH testing PCR for the evaluation of oncologic diseases and molecular genetic testing including nextgeneration candidate will also have experience in development & validation of LDTs implementing and monitoring QA & QC and interpretationof laboratory results in a clinical(hospital/ inpatient and clinics/ outpatient) candidate is also expected to share responsibilities in lab management and to participate in research and departmental educational programs. Preferences will be given to candidates who have at least two or more years experience postABMGG fellowship and those who have worked as an acting laboratory director in highcomplexity clinical molecular laboratory.

Our clinical pathology laboratory offers a robust and rapidly growing test selected candidate will join a group of 35 pathology consultants. All Surgical and Clinical pathologists have subspecialty expertise and participate in scholarly activities through research and education. The practice offers a stimulating environment for professional growth and career development. The new faculty member will work closely with our large multidisciplinary team of physicians from surgical oncology medical oncology neurosurgeons transplant team and researchers to develop targeted molecular panels and testing for different diseases including but not limited to neurooncology lymphoma and leukemia diagnostics and HLTtransplant. The position includes an academic appointment with the College of Medicine Mayo Clinic.
Qualified candidates should have an MD/DO and/or PhD and must be ABMGG boardcertified in Molecular Genetics and Genomics (LGG) or Molecular Genetics Pathology.
