Accounting Specialist
The Department of Health Outcomes & Biomedical Informatics (HOBI) in the College of Medicine is recruiting an Accounting Specialist to serve as the primary fiscal point of contact. This position supports the financial operations of both the Department of HOBI and the Institute for Child Health Policy overseeing and assisting with the processing of $12 million in procurement travel and journal transactions.
Key responsibilities include managing aspects of postaward grant administration assisting the Assistant Director of Finance with budgeting and ensuring compliance with University State and Federal regulations. The role requires a strong understanding of financial policies and procedures within the University College of Medicine and affiliated centers and institutes.
The ideal candidate is a selfstarter with a strong capacity for hard work and extensive knowledge of University College of Medicine and Center & Institute policies and procedures. They should be proficient in PeopleSoft Financials myUF Market and UFGO/Concur. Experience in postaward grant administration along with strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of financial compliance is also important.
