Position Overview
- SCOPE OF ROLE:
The Intake Specialist assists in coordinating and monitoring all activities connected with potential resident intake answering calls as it pertains to Single Point of Access (SPA).
- ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- File and retrieve documents and reference materials
- Monitor screen respond to and distribute incoming communications
- Receive and interact with incoming visitors
- Liaise with internal staff at all levels
- Interact with external clients
- Provides timely accurate and clear documentation according to established policies and procedures.
- Handles unexpected situations by responding effectively to challenges deadlines and emergencies.
- Other duties as requested by Program Director
Qualifications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Bachelors degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
Experience:
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Computer skills including word processing and spreadsheets.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid New York State Drivers License a plus but not required.
