UnityPoint Clinic is actively recruiting a Family Medicine Physician to join our team in Fort Dodge Iowa

UnityPoint Health Trinity Regional Medical Center is a nonprofit hospital that serves Fort Dodge and surrounding communities. As a designated regional referral center Trinity offers a wide range of primary and secondary care services. Trinity is accredited by DNV Healthcare Inc. and has achieved Pathway to Excellence designation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
- Established team of 3 physicians and 5 Advanced Practitioners
- Opportunity to practice outpatient medicine in an established and wellknown clinic
- Cohesive group of colleagues and supportive staff allowing for autonomy while building the practice accordingto your preferences
- Experienced staff both clinical and nonclinical who know the patients and the community
- Fulltime position including dedicated administrative time with flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient access
- Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on Epic EMR to improve care coordination
Responsibilities
- Average of 2025 patients per day; no nights or weekends
- No inpatient responsibilities
- Hospitalist Program is responsible for serving adult and pediatric inpatients
- Telephonic outpatient call only no need to physically report to clinic/hospital
- Call shared equitably by primary care providers currently 1:14 rotation
- Calls are triaged through My Nurse Call Center very minimal call volume
- Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
- General family medicine procedures such as joint injections skin excisions lacerations casting etc.
- Evaluates interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
- Patientfocused friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) analytical and problemsolving skills
Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
- Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribeand administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physicians field of practice
- Eligible to work in the United States (H1B exempt)
- J1 waiver sponsorship available
