Job Description :

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Provides care to women and their families throughout their lifespan.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs procedures within the scope of midwifery practice as defined by the American College of Nurse Midwives and outlined in the practice guidelines. 50
  • Performs assessments of physical psychosocial and educational needs. 25
  • Provides diagnosis and order appropriate treatment and medication. 25
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

  • Graduate of Nurse Midwife Program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME)
  • Current PA RN
  • Certification from American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB)
  • Current PA Midwifery license with prescriptive authority
  • Current PA drivers license
  • CPR American Heart Association
  • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
  • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
  • Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

Preferred

  • 13 years midwifery experience
