GENERAL OVERVIEW:
Provides care to women and their families throughout their lifespan.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs procedures within the scope of midwifery practice as defined by the American College of Nurse Midwives and outlined in the practice guidelines. 50
- Performs assessments of physical psychosocial and educational needs. 25
- Provides diagnosis and order appropriate treatment and medication. 25
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum
- Graduate of Nurse Midwife Program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME)
- Current PA RN
- Certification from American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB)
- Current PA Midwifery license with prescriptive authority
- Current PA drivers license
- CPR American Heart Association
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Preferred
- 13 years midwifery experience
