Job Description
Job Summary:
The Clinical Specialist Advanced Practice Provider will serve as a Full TimeAdvanced Practice Provider to provide care to patients at Upstate University Hospital. The APPwill serve in a float capacity covering a variety of inpatient services and clinics within Upstate. Responsibilities include providing expert level clinical care & coordination of care via afull range of services that will improve quality of patient care assessing & evaluating patientsordering appropriate laboratory testing & diagnostic studies arranging for referrals testingconsultation & therapeutic services and maintaining outstanding relationships with families referring physicians & all members of the health care team.
Minimum Qualifications:
NYS licensed/registered NP or PA required. Masters Degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant & current National Certification consistent to the clinical practice also number and be Medicare enrolled with a Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) (or eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire).
23 years APP experience.
CPRBLS Certification required at the time of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Acute Care and/or Medicine.
Work Days:
MondayFriday Days with Rotation to Weekends & Holidays
