Emerge is actively recruiting skilled candidates for a 2nd Shift Boring Machinist position in Erie PA. Our client is a trusted manufacturer of highquality products for Military markets. This is a direct hire opportunity offering excellent pay and outstanding longterm benefitsin a union environment.
Were looking for candidates with handson experience operating Boring Lathes strong blueprint reading skills and solid math and measurement abilities. Recent graduates of trade school programs in CNC Machining Technologies are encouraged to apply!
Position Highlights:
Shift: 2nd Shift (Full Time up to 48 hours/week)
Pay Rate: $21.75 $23.38 per hour plus a $0.40 shift premium

Profit sharing $5000$7000 annually on average)

Key Responsibilities:
Drill bore and hone manufactured products of varying lengths with inside diameters ranging from 10 to 18.
Perform ID machining processes from initial drilling through heat treatment to final boring and honing.
Maintain tight tolerances and ensure print dimensional and surface finish specifications are met.
Qualifications:
At least 1 year of experience operating boring equipment in a manufacturing environment
Able to set up and operate manual mills and lathes
Proficient in using precision measuring tools (micrometers indicators etc.
Strong blueprint reading ability
Must pass preemployment physicals and screenings
Willing and able to work up to 48 hours per week
