JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology seeks to hire a parttime marketing and communications coordinator to provide support and assistance in development design creation and troubleshooting of the departments website and social media.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage the departments social media platforms and web content
Serve as the departments photographer (if needed)
Coordinate with the ECoS Communications Office to provide department information for communications materials
Meet with faculty staff and student members of the department to create fresh and engaging content for the departments website
Serve as liaison to university news outlets (e.g. Penn State Today Research Penn State Magazine etc. to showcase departmental news and research accomplishments
Education and Experience:
Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988 Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security such as those concerning alcohol and drug use crime prevention the reporting of crimes sexual and other matters.
