What will I be doing
As a Software Engineer within the THG team you will be:
- Working across the full application stack to contribute to the design implementation and release of new business features for the THG Platform and developing those features inline with industry best practice.
- Assisting with the maintenance and provisioning of new CI/CD pipelines services in Kubernetes clusters
- Providing technical support to business teams where required ensuring that the THG platform is always available and performant.
- Working closely with the Product and Project managers to refine the backlog of work for the team and provide technical design and estimates
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders and other technical teams to deliver features
- Contributing to a highly collaborative and agile development culture
Requirements:
Essential:
- Strong communication & collaboration skills
- Java 11
- Spring and SpringBoot
- Any message broker technology (e.g. ActiveMQ / RabbitMQ / Kafka/ Amazon SQS)
Willingness to learn or experience with:
- Prometheus / Grafana
- JavaScript / TypeScript
- Angular v.15
- Jenkins / GitHub actions
- Working knowledge of DevOps pipelines (build test release support)
- Containerisation and container orchestration (Docker/Podman and Kubernetes)
