Job Description

Job Title:Director of Financial Reporting

Location:Phoenix AZ (Hybrid worktype 2 days in office)

Compensation:$150000 $180000 base salary 1520 bonus


The Kostelic Agency in partnership with an innovative and rapidly growing private equitybacked organization is excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for a Director of Financial Reporting position. With $600 million in revenue for FY2024 and ambitious plans to reach $750 million in FY2025 this organization is in heavy acquisition mode and offers incredible career growth potential.


This role is pivotal to the accounting and finance team ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting while supporting the companys strategic growth initiatives. With a hybrid work model this opportunity is ideal for professionals seeking a challenging and rewarding leadership position in technical accounting and financial reporting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and private equity reporting requirements.
  • Write and review detailed notes for yearend financial statements and interface with external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
  • Lead technical accounting efforts including ASC 842 lease accounting and purchase price accounting providing guidance on complex transactions.
  • Manage covenants compliance reporting collaborating closely with private equity stakeholders.
  • Enhance and maintain robust internal controls over financial reporting processes.
  • Monitor changes in accounting standards assessing their impact on the organization and implementing necessary adjustments.
  • Drive process improvements in financial reporting and streamline reporting timelines.
  • Partner with crossfunctional teams including FP&A and operations to provide insights and ensure alignment on financial reporting objectives.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
  • 8 years of experience in financial reporting or technical accounting ideally with experience in private equitybacked environments.
  • Deep expertise in U.S. GAAP with a strong understanding of financial statement preparation and technical accounting standards.
  • Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting and purchase price accounting preferred.
  • Proven track record of managing audits and collaborating with external auditors.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to work crossfunctionally.
  • Exceptional analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail.
