Job Description
Parallel Employment Group in partnership with a Cheektowaga NY bakery is seeking a second shift line lead to support oversight of production line operation in accordance with plant policies and you will ensure smooth production operation during shift.
Hours: 2nd shift 2:30 PM start to 10:30 PM
Pay rate: $20 to $222 per hour based on experience
Responsibilities
Supervise production line operation in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
Train and coach production line employees.
Responsible for shift schedule to include workstation assignments/rotations employee training employee vacations employee breaks overtime assignment backup for absent employees and shift rotations.
Coordinate production startups shutdowns and changeovers.
Schedule and conduct shift meetings.
Responsible to meet shift production goals.
Responsible for quality control. Make adjustments as necessary during shift to produce product within specifications. Reject product outside of specifications.
Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
Requirements:
Basic reading writing and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must have previous line lead or leadership experience. Knowledge of the food manufacturing processes procedures and machinery. This is normally acquired through two to five years of manufacturing experience.
Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required.
