Contributes to and participates in the Performance/Quality Improvement activities of the assigned department. Contribution and participation includes data collection analysis implementation of and compliance with risk management and claims activities support of and participation in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) teams consistent adherence to the specific rules and regulations of The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Health Center (a) Safety and Security Policies (b) Risk Management: Incident and Occurrence Reporting (c) Infection Control Policies and Procedures and (d) Patient and Customer Service.
Able to perform blood drawing on adults and children.
Performs laboratory work such as Hematology (complete CBCs Hematocrit white blood cell counts Differentials RBC Morphology Retics Platelet Sickle Cell Preps Sedrates Bleeding Time Coagulation Time Pro Times).
Performs Urin analysis: Specific gravity sugar protein Acetone and Microspics. Stool for Occult Blood Scotch Tape for Pinworm Pregnancy Test. Wet Preps and G.C. smears for Gonorrhea.
Drawing all chemistries labeling and preparing for testing.
At least one(1 year experience as a Phlebotomist
High School or GED (Required)
Basic Computer knowledge (Required)
