If you are an Engineering professional looking for an opportunity to grow Copeland has an exciting
opportunity for you! Based in our Sidney OH location you will be responsible for engineering project
management with a focus on completing key new product development initiatives on CO2 semihermetic in our Refrigeration business. You will be responsible for evaluating maturing and developing new design technologies to improve efficiency reduce cost and improve reliability to add incremental value to our customers applications. Projects will require working with multifunctional teams presenting project status to management and interacting with customers and suppliers.
AS A PROJECT ENGINEER/SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER YOU WILL:
Deliver thought leadership critical thinking & inquisitive attitude to lead global
development teams through Technology development.
Support internal/external customers and global multifunctional colleagues by
sharing technical and project achievements & updates.
Develop mastery of existing calculators and engineering tools as well as facilitate of
creation of new design and analysis tools as needed/appropriate.
Apply a high degree of independent engineering knowledge to lead multifunctional efforts
in technical development and problemsolving.
Develop and implement development and testing plans with a focus on managing risk
mitigation and coordinate with appropriate resources for timely .
Apply and support the incorporation of Lean principles and techniques into the New
Product Development process.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience (coop experience is a plus)
Excellent presentation written verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficient in the use of various computer programs such as Outlook Word Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to lead manage and prioritize multiple assignments.
Legal authorization to work in the United States unrestricted for an unlimited period of time
Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.
PREFERRED:
Two 2 years of relevant work experience in the development of electrically driven rotating
equipment or similar fields.
Experience with GT Suite Power BI Minitab.
Ability to communicate with technical manufacturing and business leaders at all levels.
Strong Thermodynamics vapor compression cycle & heat transfer knowledge/experience.
