Nursery Room Leader/Third in Charge

Salary: Up to 31500

FullTime 40 hours per week

As Third in Charge youll support the leadership team in delivering high standards of care and inspiring the nursery team to create a nurturing funfilled space where children can thrive.

What Were Looking For

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a senior or leadership role within a nursery or early years setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and a passion for highquality childcentred care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children families and colleagues.
  • A proactive enthusiastic and nurturing approach to leadership and childcare.
  • Confidence in supporting and mentoring team members to promote best practices.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support the management team in the daytoday running of the nursery ensuring the highest standards of care and learning are maintained.
  • Act as a role model for the team delivering engaging ageappropriate activities that inspire curiosity and growth in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Assist in leading the team to create a safe stimulating and nurturing environment that fosters positive relationships and builds childrens confidence.
  • Monitor and support childrens development maintaining accurate records and adapting care and activities to meet individual needs.
  • Oversee the smooth running of your allocated room and step in as needed to ensure continuity and highquality care.
  • Embrace the nurserys focus on outdoor learning promoting exploration and active play in the thoughtfully designed outdoor space.
