POSITION TITLE: Production Supervisor 2nd Shift
REPORTS TO: Plant Manager
POSITION SUMMARY: The production supervisor is responsible for managing the daily operations of our parts machining center by ensuring that safety productivity quality and ontime delivery goals are met.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensuring a safe working environment through modeling safe behaviors leading audits/inspections correcting unsafe behaviors conducting daily toolbox talks and utilizing proper work methods procedures and equipment.
- Provide direct supervision to production hourly employees.
- Works closely with the scheduling and engineering teams to assist with production bottlenecks.
- Works with maintenance to ensure PMs are done and machines are kept neat and orderly.
- Responsible for hiring and developing new machinists.
- Assists manufacturing engineering in the development and modification of machining processes and techniques along with cost reduction programs to ensure efficient utilization of labor materials and equipment.
- Utilizes available resources to resolve process maintenance equipment and/or related technical problems.
- Understanding of SAP and develop more efficient ways to input and extract data.
- Calculate daily KPIs for the manufacturing team and modify them as the business changes.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Requirements:
- 5 years supervisory experience in a machine shop environment
- Knowledge and experience in both manual and CNC mills and lathes in a metal fabrication setting

- Excellent organizational and problemsolving skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
