Job Description80: During the SVB academy sessions Lead Counselors will be responsible for supervising program counselors and participants throughout all aspects of the day including meals class sessions activities and offcampus excursions. Lead Counselor counselors will serve on formal and informal panels about the college selection process the transition from high school to college college life and their experience as KU students.
15: Lead Counselors will serve in a leadership capacity amongst Daytime Counselors (DC) serving as the liaison between counselors and Impact staff while helping to facilitate DC schedules/ shifts and supervision. Lead Counselor will assist with coordination and supervision of Daytime Counselors.
5: SVB Lead Counselors will be responsible for assisting with the planning and of Summer Venture in Business activities including assisting with administrative tasks associated with the delivery of the SVB program such as contacting SVB applicants to confirm their attendance assisting with checkin/checkout and collecting participant paperwork.
SVB academy sessions are Sunday June 15 through Friday June 20 2025 and Sunday July 13 through Friday July 18 2025.

- Must be a current KU student (any major/ any level).
- During the semester term of the appointment the student hourly must be enrolled inno fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must:
- have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or
- be preenrolledin the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or
- be enrolled insummer session or

Position OverviewThe School of Business is hiring a KU student to be a Lead Counselor for the Summer Venture in Business academy (SVB). SVB is a precollege summer academy for six consecutive days for two sessions designed to familiarize high school students with aspects of the business world along with aspects of the college experience in and out of the classroom.
Throughout their employment student employees will maintain and manifest positive actions that align with and support the Code of Conduct for the School of Business.
