Job Description

HR Operations Manager based in Akron Ohio

Eligible for hybrid remote work.

We are seeking an experienced HR professional to lead the charge in creating a streamlined flexible and peoplefirst HR environment for our growing global organization.

This role will ensure our HR systems and processes are robust compliant and tailored to meet the unique requirements of each of our business divisions across the globe.

The Opportunity: The Smithers group is currently looking for a HR Manager for our team. Our ideal candidate has worked in a fastpaced international environment where the details quality teamwork and a great culture matters. This is a dynamic position in a growing company and a great opportunity to work in a multitude of areas within Human Resources. The role reports directly into the Vice President of HR and drives operational HR processes initiatives and delivery.

In this role you will:

  • Work with the Global HR team with input from Smithers Executives to develop and execute human resources processes in the areas of but not limited to:
    • Compliance Administration Employee Relations/Contact Executive compensation HR Metrics Reporting and Records.
  • Oversee UKG ad other HR systems: Working with our IT team to manage optimize and enhance UKG to ensure seamless functionality and reporting capabilities.
  • Culture: Be responsible for helping to shape and maintain a cohesive yet adaptable company culture across al divisions and regions. You will ensure our core values are embedded in everything we do while allowing for local nuances that makes each team unique. You will champion a culture of accountability collaboration and continuous improvement ensuring that every employee knows and plays a role in upholding our shred principles.
  • Drive Talent Management and Succession Planning: Working with our HR Business Partner and Leaders to ensure solutions offered fit for their businesss requirements and needs.
  • Training & Development: Design and implement flexible and inclusive training initiatives that are impactful empower our teams to grow and that resonate across culture regions and divisions.
  • Handle Contract Management: Oversee HR vendor contracts and agreements ensuring accuracy and alignment with company standards. Develop service level agreements where appropriate. Coordinate the annual internal Shared Support Services review.
  • Ensure Compliance: Keep us on track with global and regional compliance requirements while managing policies and regulatory changes.
  • Collaborate Flexibly: Understand that one size does not fit all; adapt approaches to align with the unique needs of each division.
  • Stay up to date: Develop a good understanding of current issues and trends and provide timely wellreasoned recommendations and solutions.
  • Travel: 10 15 Travel

  • A proven track record of managing HR systems (experience with UKG is a plus).
