Are you a dedicated Critical Care Registered Nurse eager to make a difference in multiple settings We have a newly created temporary nonbenefited RN position on the Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Resource Team specifically supporting multiple Service Lines across our five premier facilities:

  • Winston Salem NC: Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center
  • High Point NC: High Point Medical Center
  • Clemmons NC: Davie Medical Center
  • Lexington NC: Lexington Medical Center
  • North Wilkesboro NC: Wilkes Medical Center

Position Highlights:

  • Competitive Hourly Rates: Plus shift weekend and holiday differentials
  • Shifts and Schedule: Day Shift 7a7p) Night Shift 77a) three 12hour shifts for optimal worklife balance
  • Flexible Assignments: 12week assignments renew as many times as you like

As a member of our Resource Team youll:

  • Deliver Comprehensive Care: Utilize your expertise in assessment diagnosis outcomes identification planning implementation and evaluation to provide topnotch nursing care.
  • Enhance Safety: Play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure work environment for patients and staff.
  • Stay Ahead: Continuously improve your clinical and professional competencies to meet the needs of diverse patient populations.
  • Be Versatile: Bring your nursing skills to various patient care areas across all our facilities ensuring highquality care wherever youre needed.

Education Experience and Certifications:

  • Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in the specialty area.
  • Certifications:
    • Current BLS for Healthcare Provider status as per AHA standards.
    • Current ACLS required for critical care and ED service lines
    • Valid RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state of employment and residence.
    • For those declaring a National License Compact (NLC) state as their primary residence must meet licensure requirements in the home state.
    • For nonNLC states a current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner is required in the state of employment.
  • Additional Requirements: Further education training certifications or experience may be mandated by the department nurse leader.

Essential Functions

  • Collects data pertinent to the healthcare consumers health or the situation.
  • Analyzes the assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnoses problems and issues.
  • Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the healthcare consumer or the situation.
  • Develops a plan that prescribes strategies to attain expected measurable outcomes.
  • Implements the identified plan coordinates care delivery and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
  • Delegates elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers in accordance with any applicable legal or policy parameters or principles.
  • Evaluates progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes.
  • Practices in a manner that is congruent with cultural diversity and inclusion principles.
  • Communicates effectively in all areas of practice.
  • Collaborates with healthcare consumer and other key stakeholders in the conduct of nursing practice.
  • Demonstrates leadership in the professional practice setting and the profession.
  • Seeks knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice and promotes futuristic thinking.
  • Integrates evidence and research findings into practice.
  • Contributes to quality nursing practice.
  • Evaluates ones own and others nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards and guidelines relevant statutes rules and regulations.
  • Utilizes appropriate resources to plan provide and sustain evidencebased nursing services that are safe effective and fiscally responsible.
  • Practices in an environmentally safe and healthy manner.
  • Promotes shared governance or facility decision making activities developing and nurturing research to positively affect clinical outcomes and promotion.

Physical Requirements

  • Mobility: Frequent walking standing sitting lifting reaching stooping bending pushing and pulling.
  • Strength: Ability to lift and support up to 35 pounds when handling patients medical equipment and supplies.
  • Communication: Must be able to speak English clearly and understandably.
  • Senses: Must have intact sense of sight hearing smell and touch.
  • Dexterity: Fine motor skills and finger dexterity are essential.
  • Cognitive Skills: Strong critical thinking and concentration abilities.
  • Responsiveness: Ability to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
  • Testing: Physical Abilities Testing is required.
