Geisingers Heart & Vascular Institute is seeking Interventional Cardiologists to join our teams across Pennsylvania. Geisinger campuses in Danville Wilkes Barre and Scranton were recently certified as the first three Comprehensive Heart Attack Centers in the United States through The Joint Commission of Health and the American Heart Association.Job Duties:
Systemwide Geisingers Heart and Vascular Institute has 69 Cardiologists 12 Cardiothoracic Surgeons 12 Vascular Surgeons as well as 82 Advanced Practitioners.Services are provided at Geisinger Medical Center (GMC) in Danville PA; The Richard and Marion Pearsall Heart Hospital at Geisinger Wyoming Valley (GWV) in WilkesBarre PA; Geisinger Community Medical Center (GCMC) in Scranton PA; Geisinger Grays Woods in State College PA; as well as select community locations encompassing an additional Cardiologists.
Geisingers Heart and Vascular Institute also offers comprehensive care for our pediatric heart patients.The pediatric and congenital heart team consists of eight Cardiologists and one Cardiothoracic Surgeon at Geisingers Janet Weis Childrens Hospital (JWCH) at GMC.
The multidisciplinary team members of the Geisinger Heart and Vascular Institute participate in outcomes and populationbased research through the Geisinger Center for Health Research; molecular cellular and genomics research at the Siegfried and Janet Weis Center for Health Research; and trials of new devices and techniques through the Geisinger Center for Clinical Studies. The Institute serves as an educational venue for five cardiology fellows per year and advanced fourthyear cardiology fellows an annual Cardiology Symposium and frequent CME lectures.
