About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Governance Consultant to lead Billigence Indias Data Governance offering. In this role you will design and implement data governance strategies ensuring that our clients maintain high standards of data quality security and compliance. You will leverage your expertise in Collibra to establish governance frameworks that support business growth and regulatory requirements. As a senior consultant you will mentor junior team members and participate in interviewing candidates to strengthen the governance team.
What Youll Do:
- Lead the design and implementation of data governance frameworks
- Define and enforce data governance policies and standards across business units.
- Collaborate with data owners and stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Implement data stewardship programs and data quality management processes.
- Provide strategic guidance on data privacy security and regulatory compliance.
- Mentor junior consultants helping them develop their skills and knowledge in data governance.
- Participate in the recruitment process by interviewing candidates for data governance roles within the team.
What Youll Need:
- Expertise in Collibra and other data governance tools.
- Strong experience in implementing data governance frameworks and practices.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR CCPA) and compliance requirements.
- DAMA (Data Management Association) certifications such as CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional) are highly desirable.
- Experience with emerging trends in AI and their impact on data governance ensuring governance frameworks align with AIdriven initiatives.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with senior stakeholders and teams.
- Strong understanding of data governance principles including data quality stewardship and metadata management.
- Proven experience with data governance in complex largescale environments.
- Experience mentoring junior team members and helping them grow technically.
- Active participation in interviewing and evaluating new team members ensuring the strength and development of the governance team.
