Job Description
The Activity Assistants responsibilities include direct supervision and tutorial assistance for students within the program.
Position is for15 to 20 hours per week:
Elementary2:30pm to 5:00pm/5:30pm
Secondary 3:30pm to 6:00pm/6:30pm
Roanoke City Public Schools is an urban school division serving a k12 student population of 13100 in 17 elementary schools 5 middle schools 2 senior high schools Forest Park Academy Noel C Taylor Learning Academy and Roanoke Valley Governors School. A staff of 2100 is employed in the division.
Some college is preferred. However high school students with a minimum age of 16 may also apply. Successful applicants must have some experience in youth programming and demonstrate strong positive motivational skills.
