Job Description
The University of Saint Mary is a Roman Catholic liberal arts university located in Leavenworth Kansas just 25 minutes away from Kansas City. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Division of Natural Sciences & Mathematics is seeking a qualified adjunct mathematics instructor to teach inperson undergraduate courses.
Position will be responsible for teaching one or more of the following courses during the Spring Semester (January 6 May 3:
- MA 230/330 Introduction to Statistics lecture MR 12:35 1:50
- MA 205 College Algebra lecture MR 2:00 3:15
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop weekly content testing materials and learning activities for inperson classes.
- Prepare syllabi and deliver curriculum appropriate for the course assigned.
- Appropriately respond to student needs and feedback.
- Assess the course learning outcomes.
- Foster an inclusive educational environment to serve all learners.
- Maintain student attendance records in accordance with university policy.
- Submit midterm and final grades on time.
- Advise and/or mentor students through electronic communications and other appropriate methods.
- Complete all required training including training on Engage LMS.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Masters degree or higher in Mathematics or Statistics or related field.
- May also consider those with 18 graduate level credit hours in mathematics or statistics or related field or AllButDissertation doctoral candidates.
- Ability to teach required course in person.
- Affinity with the Mission of the University of Saint Mary.
