What we need:
Mohawk is looking for an Assistant Maintenance Manager who can do more with Mohawk.
This position is responsible for working closely with the Maintenance Manager to ensure the coordination and supervision of personnel to manage a costeffective service oriented team so manufacturing may achieve its goals and implement company improvement.
What youll do:
- Assist in planning maintenance operations establishing priorities and sequences for all repair and preventive maintenance services.
- Monitor schedules to ensure tasks and scheduled deadlines are met.
- Prepare operational schedule and coordinate department activities to ensure maintenance services are performed to specifications in an efficient cost effective and customerresponsive manner.
- Actively participate in process improvement modifications upgrades and expansion projects for the facility.
- Require the ability to maintain an awareness of new techniques methods and equipment.
- Work closely with Maintenance Manager to help plant safety and quality teams proactively identify issues and develop and/or enhance related programs and procedures.
- Performs other duties as requested by Management.
What you have:
- Bachelors degree in a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education training and experience.
- Demonstrated experience of skill and expertise required to perform troubleshooting preventive maintenance and other basic mechanical and operating problems.
What youre good at:
- Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication negotiation and presentation skills to effectively interact with senior management and internal & external customers.
- Proficient using a PC and other departmentspecific database systems. The ability to use all assigned department machinery and other related equipment.
- Ability to effectively lead and directly a diverse work group.
- Ability and desire to motivate persuade and direct the activities of others.
