Job Description
The Department of Corrections (DOC) has a requirement for the services of an experienced Full Stack Java Developer that has experience from a frontend and backend web development perspective along with knowledge and experience in architecture design plus a working knowledge in a DevOps architecture utilizing Docker containers. The candidate should have exposure and experience with tools built with Agile and DevOps principles in mind. This contractor will perform data analysis design development testing and implementation for task assignments using key principles tools and processes of DevOps. These task assignments are required in order to support the transformation effort of modernizing several key web applications for the Department of Corrections.
Tools and techniques used in this position include but are not limited to; web services SQL data structure creation well defined interfaces standardized schemas event driven architecture reusable components common schemas. This position follows the life cycle methodologies and transformation to DevOps principles and performs program coding and testing. Resolves technical issues through debugging research and investigation. The contractor should have extensive exposure and experience in developing in a DevOps framework in:
Language (Java)
Framework for frontend (React or Angular)
Frameworks for backend (Spring Boot and Spring Cloud)
Repository (GIT)
Continuous Integration (GitLab & Rancher)
Container concepts (DOCKER)
Orchestration (Kubernetes)
Backend development principles (Database and cache Server and API (REST & SOAP)
Comment: Phone Web Based and/or InPerson interviews acceptable for all interview phases.
Must Have:

Data Analysis Maintain accurate inventory and order records. Review analyze and resolve discrepancies in telecom inventories and invoices. Monitor review and analyze telecom usage and traffic reports.

An ability to be adaptive and thrive in a fastpaced changing environment
Analyze software and design information flow; make recommendations as necessary
B.S. degree in computer science data management or other related field.
Experience developing full stack solutions using Java (Spring Spring Boot Spring Data Spring JPA Spring MVC etc RESTful web services
Familiarity with Git source control Gitflow Workflow preferred
Skill in writing SQL queries including a procedural extension to SQL (e.g. TSQL PL/SQL)
Develop applications running in Kubernetes
Experience with Java Workflow engine
Using unit testing frameworks preferably JUnit
Demonstrates solid knowledge of architecture frameworks methodologies and tools (E.g. possesses The Open Group Architecture Framework accreditation)
Applying knowledge of serviceoriented architecture design techniques
Advanced Problem Resolution Skills
AJAX JavaScript jQuery and jQuery UI
Creating and reviewing SQL scripting
HTML / XML / XSLT / CSS
Java
Java Development with Eclipse
JavaScript based responsive HTML 5 applications
Experience using Java Spring Framework
Knowledge of OO/UML methodologies CSS HTML and JavaScript
Spring and/or Hibernate
Automated Testing and Continuous Integration
Develop Test Plans Test Cases and Test Procedures
5 years experience in web application development with minimum 2 years experience in Drupal application development
Advanced level PHP5 MySQL and HTML/CSS/AJAX/JavaScript.
