Job Description

Biomedical Equipment Technician III

Location: San Francisco CA

Salary: $104000 $114000 Annually
MUST BE AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE UNITED STATES

Job Summary

The Biomedical Equipment Technician III is responsible for the maintenance repair and calibration of complex biomedical equipment and systems. This position requires advanced technical knowledge and skills in the areas of electronics mechanics and computer systems. The Biomedical Equipment Technician III will work independently and as part of a team to ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and meets regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance repair and calibration of complex biomedical equipment and systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
  • Document all work performed in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that all equipment meets regulatory requirements and is safe for patient use.
  • Provide technical support and training to other technicians and clinical staff.
  • Stay current with new technologies and industry trends.
  • Participate in oncall rotation and respond to emergency service calls as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in biomedical engineering or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of complex biomedical equipment and systems
  • Advanced technical knowledge and skills in electronics mechanics and computer systems
  • Experience with a wide range of biomedical equipment including imaging systems patient monitors and life support systems.
  • Strong problemsolving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid drivers license and ability to travel to various locations as needed.
  • Must pass background and drug screen.
