Job Details

Position Summary:
The IT Systems Administratorwill assist in maintaining the companys IT infrastructure ensuring optimal performance security and reliability both onpremises and in cloud environments. The IT Systems Administrator will also support server environments network configurations and storage solutions while providing advanced technical support for complex issues. The IT Systems Administrator will work to ensure that MarshBerrys systems are secure by detecting and remediating vulnerabilities and potential threats to users and devices.

Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Management:
    • Monitor maintain and support cloud and onpremises environments including Azure Microsoft 365 HyperV and Physical Servers.
    • Manage network configurations including routers switches and firewalls.
    • Oversee storage solutions and ensure efficient data management and backup processes.
  • System Administration:
    • Perform routine system updates patches and configuration changes.
    • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery solutions are in place and tested regularly.
    • Optimize system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Risk Management:
    • Implement and maintain security measures to protect IT infrastructure from threats.
    • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
    • Respond to and mitigate security incidents in a timely manner.
  • Technical Support:
    • Provide advanced technical support for escalated issues.
    • Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve infrastructurerelated problems.
  • Project Management:
    • Collaborate with senior IT staff and other business leaders and colleagues to support IT initiatives and projects providing technical expertise and guidance.
    • Assist in the planning and implementation of infrastructure upgrades and new technologies.
    • Coordinate with vendors and external partners as needed.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex technical issues and implement solutions.
    • Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Mentor junior staff and share knowledge to foster skill development.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate and uptodate documentation of IT infrastructure and processes.
    • Generate regular reports on system performance security and other key metrics.
    • Contribute to the development of IT policies and procedures.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of IT Infrastructure services.
    • Stay current with industry trends technologies and best practices to maintain a high level of expertise.
  • Cultivate and maintain effective relationships with potential internal/external clients partners and stakeholders that can directly or indirectly lead to revenue generation for all MarshBerry services.
  • Special projects and tasks as assigned.

Selection Criteria

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field is preferred or 5 years of professional experience.
  • 4 years experience administering Microsoft 365 environments.
  • 4 years experience supporting Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2019
  • 3 years experience working with Microsoft Exchange.
  • 3 years experience working with System Management and Deployment tools such as Intune Autopilot MDT or SCCM.
  • 3 years experience using a Windows scripting language such as PowerShell VBS or Batch.
  • 5 years experience working with Active Directory Entra & Group Policy.
  • 2 years experience with enterprise backup technologies.
  • Experience managing infrastructure in Microsoft Azure is a plus.
  • Experience with Meraki or Cisco Networking and Veeam Backup and Replication is a plus.

Other:

  • Professional experience supporting users in a cloud environment.
  • Previous experience implementing large scale solutions in a business environment.
  • Prior experience using a formalized ticketing system to track issues and requests.
  • Advanced networking skills and ability to troubleshoot common network issues.
  • Proven experience taking complex solutions from concept to completion.
  • Able to quickly grasp both business and technical concepts and solve difficult technical problems by leveraging available resources.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to adjust content and delivery based on the audience.
  • Willingness and ability to provide guidance and direction to team members.
  • Selfstarter with advanced problemsolving skills.
  • Customer service mindset.
  • Detail oriented and committed to producing quality work.
  • Able to prioritize and thrive in stressful situations.
  • Proven capability to automate repetitive tasks.
  • Driven to learn and stay current in an everchanging technical landscape.
