Job Description
- Understand and implement techniques for successful target placement for laser scans
- Successfully execute all field work necessary to complete a laser scan including working with the various areas to obtain permits for hot work.
- Understand and execute registration process for laser scans including knowledge of survey information and plant monument locations
- Successfully provide laser scan support for various organizations in the plant including contract partners
- Experience in cloud based environments for development of 3D models required
- Under direction of a lead execute design functions on requested piping projects
- Develop 3D plant models for equipment layouts and piping routes using laser scans for accuracy
- Develop isometric packages for construction
- Must be familiar with all areas of the plant and the entry procedures for each area
- Must have knowledge of and actively implement Eastman engineering standards
- Must have familiarity with the drafting rules contained in the Eastman CAD manual

- Actively participate as a member of multifunctional project teams executing capital projects from FEL3b through detailed design and startup
- Support project detailed design plans (includes developing scope MTO estimates engineering schedules and discipline project staff against project objectives)
- Provide deliverable quality checking and oversight
- Participate in the development and improvement of procedures and information management
- Perform to defined project metrics
- Ability to interact with a variety of partners (e.g. engineering operations and construction) to answer questions and resolve issues including during field installation
- Embrace continuous process improvement for project and encourage nontraditional or changing work processes
- Be a team player in a team environment
- Be a selfstarter and a selfmotivator (Selfmotivated; troubleshoots and solves problems with minimal guidance)
Qualifications
- Associates Degree required Bachelors degree is strongly preferred and equivalent design experience in piping or mechanical
- 2 years of experience with 3D modeling
- 2 years of experience drafting required
- 2 years of field walkdown experience required
- 2 years of experience with field sketching required
- 2 years of experience in field laser scanning and laser scan registration required
- Possess good written listening and verbal communication skills
