Job Description
Exercise some judgment to comply with instructions and established procedures in driving trucks for various departments.
Responsibilities
Drive trucks for various departments including the Mail Room Food Service Physical Plant Housing and Food Services Maintenance Department. Deliver and pick up mail materials equipment food supplies tools etc. Maintain records of purchase pickups deliveries etc. Load and unload trucks. Keep truck clean report malfunctions and have it serviced when needed. Maintain work areas and vehicle in safe sanitary and efficient operating conditions. Remove trash to proper areas. Observe safety regulations and maintain highest standards of sanitation. May assist in departmental operations when not driving truck i.e. sort mail clean sweep and act as helper.
