What Youll Do
- Keep equipment operating by following service instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventative maintenance
- Prepares and maintains accurate records of services and repairs
- Effectively communicates with coworkers and customers in a positive manner
- Demonstrates dependability in attendance work completion and flexibility to meet business needs
- Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety Culture
- Diagnose malfunctions on equipment and perform repairs
- Perform preventive maintenance on engines and hydraulic systems for on and off road mobile equipment (including vehicles such as trucks and trailers) and maintains stationary equipment
- Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor
What Youll Need
- Must be able to perform minor repairs and routine tasks efficiently correctly and safely
- Must keep clean and safe work area and comply with all plant specific rules procedures and duties
- Minimum 1 year of experience with basic knowledge of trailer mobile equipment or vehicle maintenance.
- Must have trailer air brake knowledge lights wiring welding experience stick & mig
- Must have trailer and/or fleet mechanic experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to stand for significant lengths of time in an industrial environment with exposure to all elements of weather
- Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced environment with strong work ethic attention to details and find root causes for issues
- Capable of performing a wide range of physical activities which include pulling reaching bending climbing and kneeling
- Experience with hydraulics/pneumatics wiring and working on heavy equipment
- Proficient in reading and understand technical documents diagrams and service manuals
- Welding cutting and fabrication skills
Your Education
- High School Diploma GED or equivalent experience preferred
