Job Description
Industrial Sewer $16 per hour $18 DOE
Shift: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Shift: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Job Description: As an Industrial Sewer you will play a pivotal role in the setup and operation of industrial sewing machines ensuring precision and quality in the production process. This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $16 with an increase to $18 based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Machine Operation:
- Sew materials using industrial sewing machines.
- Follow production samples product guides and observe stitching to detect defects.
- Inspect finished products for quality control.
- Make minor machine adjustments.
- Perform routine machine maintenance.
- Safety and Housekeeping:
- Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
- Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
- Clean and sanitize the work area.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Promote and contribute to a continuous improvement culture.
- Additional Duties:
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Basic reading writing and arithmetic skills acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read write and understand detailed instructions communicated in English.
- Prior industrial sewing experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds is required.
Working Conditions: Enjoy a small climatecontrolled work environment while sewing automotive interior pieces. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment including but not limited to eye safety glasses and hearing protection.
