Job Description
Tulane University School of Medicine invites applications for a faculty position in the research track at the rank of Instructor in the Department of Medicine. The selected candidate will assist in developing new research opportunities and expanding the current research program within the Section of Hematology Oncology.
Seeking an individual with:
- PhD in Biomedical Science or Medicinal Chemistry
- Excellent research analytic and statistical programming skills
- Research experience in an academic setting
- Published research
Proficient in:
- Proteinprotein/DNA/RNA interaction: Pulldown assay & Mass spectrum (MS); Translating Ribosome Affinity Purification (TRAP); RNAfluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH); Immunoprecipitation (IP); Surface plasmon resonance (SPR); Solid phase binding Electrophoretic mobility shift assay (EMSA).
Cell stemness analysis: 3D cell sphere formation assay; Cell surface marker staining and Flow Cytometry manipulation.
- Mouse xenograftIn vivo tumor growth and metastasis imaging based on luciferase expressing using IVIS imaging system
- Manipulation with regular fluorescence microscopy and confocal with live cell imaging system
