Forklift Technician
Division/Department: Pork
Location: Marshalltown
Job title: Forklift Technician
Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor
Salaried Grade:
NonExempt
Type of position:
Fulltime
Shift: 1st shift
Hours: Must be flexible.
(On call)
Internal Candidates with less than 3 Attendance points will be considered for position!
Qualifications:
- Must have overall knowledge of the Maintenance and Operation of Powered Industrial Trucks.
- Familiar with Electric and propane forklifts electric pallet jacks Scissor and boom lifts.
- Be proficient at the following: DC Electronics Hydraulics Battery Chargers Propane Fabrication and Welding a plus
- Understand and comply with Company policy and procedures
- Good communications skills both verbal and written
- Good work history and attendance
- Team Player with leadership skills
Required skills:
- Preventative and predictive maintenance on all powered industrial trucks.
- Emergency repairs as needed.
- Promote and encourage safety in all aspects of maintenance
- Attend meetings as scheduled
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned
Education Requirements (if applicable)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
