About the Associate Director Content Strategy
The Associate Director Content Strategy is a storyteller and client facing leader capable of utilizing the full breadth of our talent. They are strong presenters with the ability to command a room and are entrusted with leading crossfunctional teams of expert practitioners. ADs work closely with Directors and VPs to design pitch and craft awardwinning experiences on behalf of our clients. The ideal AD candidate is a good listener and synthesizersomeone who can extract meaningful insights from research culture lived experiences and strategy inputs and connect the dots between seemingly disparate data points.
The Associate Director Content Strategy has deep and wide knowledge of the endtoend creative and digital landscape with specialized knowledge of how content can make experiences both more effective and affective. The ideal candidate understands all aspects of content strategy: how to build it into projects how to integrate with other capabilities when we need which deliverables and how to best execute.
Responsibilities
- Key Deliverables
- May include oversight and/or of:
- Editorial content strategy (All discovery phase CS including content inventories and content assessments)
- UX content strategy (All design phase CS including content audits gap analyses taxonomies copy and content planning)
- Delivery content strategy (All build phase CS including content matrices work flows and governance guidelines migration support)
- May include oversight and/or of:
- Key Contributions
- Building the XD department and content strategy practice at Verndale through the delivery of exceptional work
- Educating both internal and external teams on the benefits of content strategy and how it can enhance the user experience
- Scoping and estimating of projects
- Presenting polished clientready deliverables ideas project updates etc.
- Leading through inspiration example advocacy and mentoring
- Key Knowledge
- Must have considerable knowledge and expertise of a wide variety of platforms and content management systems (like Sitecore etc. and the endtoend digital transformation process including the steps of a redesign migration and all related content strategy activities.
