About this Unit
We are committed to bringing Orthopedic care to our community and the lakeshore. Our small intimate team supports providers both from the Grand Haven and Holland area along with visiting ortho subspecialties from our Grand Rapids office. We are a growing office and often when needed we assist in covering the clinic in our Holland Lakewood office. The role of the athletic trainer in our department will be clinical/clerical in nature. The ATs will work within their scope of care along with daily tasks including but not limited to rooming the patient preparing and turning over rooms patient navigation answering calls scheduling referrals support virtual visits inbasket management and chart prep. Note: Must be open to change function independently as well as with a team and a enjoy problem solving!

Scope of work
Provides professional assistance and clinical support to health care professionals to ensure the delivery of quality evidence based health care services. Develops implements and maintains comprehensive health care programs for patients clients and athletes. The practice of athletic training includes injury/illness prevention and wellness protection clinical assessment and impression immediate and emergency care treatment and rehabilitation and organizational and professional health and wellbeing of individuals under the direction of a physician. Travel may be required.
